This SMART meeting, offers a safe place to meet with other seeking their recovery from any addictive behaviour/substance. This 90 min meeting allows people to share their own experiences and gain/give support to other group members.
These meetings are free and strictly confidential. Our trained group facilitator will welcome you to the meeting. SMART meetings follow the structure of check in (a chance to say how you are doing) then look at a recovery tool: this will be decided by group and will link in with the check-ins.
SMART Recovery uses a range of tools then empower individuals to manage their own lives/recovery from addiction. These tools are based on cognitive-behavioural principles and are designed to help people understand and change their behaviours effectively. We then have a brief check out before the meeting ends.
SMART meetings are relaxed and welcoming where people can share whatever they feel comfortable with, listening is fine too.
